How to 'freeze' rems in a document?

Suppose I don’t want/need to practice anything in a certain document and I don’t want those rems to appear in the global Queue. How can I do that?

There is also a feature request to make it easier - Exclude an Entire Document/Folder from the Main Queue

Thank you very much.
An alternative way which I tried while waiting for a solution here is to create a seperate Document and then add a portal to all documents I want to practice(thus excluding the ones I don’t) and then just use that document as my ‘global queue’.
Just not sure if this keeps track of the SR algorithm.
