Scrollable sidebar; Shift + Click to NOT create multiple windows

Tldr: Shift clicking clutters stuff when applied multiple times. Suggestions:

  1. A toggle such that shift clicking multiple times replaces secondary window.
  2. Or shift clicking adds new window to a scrollable sidebar on the right.
(2 is preferred because of nested rems as explained later)

I have pages with many many rem references with definitions and such that I like to go through. It would be super helpful to shift click just replace existing secondary window instead of making more. This would make it so you don’t have to close out a window to open a new one and improve efficiency with browsing multiple rems.

Another idea is to have a scrollable sidebar. This makes it so when opening multiple windows at once, they are just placed stacked on top of each other on the side, making them a lot less cluttered.

Note: A benefit of this over the previous feature is that opening rems on the side pane simply puts them below on the side pane as well. So nested rems are now fluid to traverse and interact with.

How about using a single second pane populated with portals? See

Thank you! I missed this, looks quite helpful for me.
