"shift + rem" Opening side-panel doesn't work on the non-synced konwledge base

When pressing shift while clicking on another rem, this rem will open as a side panel.
If I do so on my locally synced database, RemNote says, I don’t have access to this database.

Is this caused by my laptop’s folder system? (I use Apple)
Or is it just a general bug that needs to be fixed?
