to show the chain of changes, which is not well adapted in RemNote rn.
If on windows, try pressing Windows + period on your keyboard to open an emoji selector.

That’s true, though note that emoji added this way are seen by RemNote as normal text, differently than the ones added using %% (for example, they aren’t Rems).
I don’t see a big problem with this, since I don’t have plans on using emojis as an organizational element. Though part of the reason I don’t do it is due to this inconsistent emoji support (in fairness, this is probably not so much about RemNote specifically… emojis are often inconsistent across OS/devices).
