Thanks for the reply. It validates my understanding. What actually triggers my query is that some of the reference do not proceed to the “hidden rem”. Any similar experience?

It could be just slow in loading the target document, try navigating to the same reference target a couple times with shift+click. See also this thread

Can not navigate to portal

When a rem is referred in another file as a portal, I always navigate to a wrong position which is the parent of it, so I can not land precisely

I have similar experience with you. This bug appears with old rems created in older versions of RemNote (v1.0. / v1.1. /.etc ).

I offen use (( to portal to these rems and click the bullet to access them…

Thanks again for the response. As for me, I just started using RemNote this December 2021.
