Backward descriptor flashcards

When I create a descriptor flash card and select backward it shows both the question and answer as the question. Is this a bug?

I’m not sure if that really is a bug, but I guess you could try changing it to a concept?

This is by design. Since descriptors describe the concept, it’s the concept that is the ‘answer’ in case of backwards-enabled descriptor flashcards.

Example usage:

  • Apple
    • founded in:: April 1976

So the backwards card would - in simple words - be asking you what was founded in April 1976. I hope this makes sense. As @sonderous mentioned, you can overcome this by turning it into a concept instead.
