Better text handling (when writing, editing and searching)

Writing/editing/searching text is probably what most people will spend most time on. However, although Remnote mostly does it right, I sometimes find some issues (or awkward behaviour).

For example, it is not possible to select text spanning multiple lines easily using only the keyboard, by holding SHIFT and pressing UP (or DOWN). Doing so selects the full Rem instead. The only workaround is to traverse all the lines, by holding SHIFT and pressing LEFT/RIGHT (holding CTRL makes it a bit quicker, but it’s still not practical).

I’ve seen other similar issues elsewhere in this forum, but I guess they are comments within other threads. Might be good to collate them all here (unless we already have a thread for this?)

Agreed. :upside_down_face:
Normally, I could press Ctrl + End to get to the end of the whole page/text field in a normal document. It’s true that RemNote isn’t like a normal document, but when I move up to the top of a document to edit something like the name or the first child, I can’t immediately get back to the bottom.
Either I’d have to press the down arrow multiple times, and get stuck in the middle (which I believe is a bug).
OR I’d have to take my hand up from the keyboard, and use the mouse to scroll all the way down until I reach the end and the click to get back to the bottom rem.

This is solved as of latest version of RemNote :ok_hand:

(if you have votes in this, remove them to free them up - I don’t think this happens automatically)
