Can I create templates with multiple option slots?

Hi there,

I was wondering if it is possible to create slots that would allow me to choose its content from a set of redefined options.
For (a real life) example:
I have an automatically added template for my articles metadata, which has a number of slots, such as: author, publication type, year, etc. Is it possible that the slot would have redefined options for me to choose from instead of me typing it? So, when the publication type slot would appear it will come with a menu with the 4-5 options redefined already (Journal article, Book, Book chapter, blog post, etc.).

Many thanks in advance!

Not automatically as a menu, but you can manually write the values in yourself, either at the back of the slot by adding a delimeter to it (then you can’t reference the values individually) or as children of the slot (can then reference individual values and collect backlinks for each). You can then hover the slot to see the values.

Thanks for the response!
I am not sure I got it.
If I write the options as children to the slot in the “Automatically activate template” page I do not see them when I hover the slot. what am I missing?

Yeah, my apologies, the terminology can be confusing, see image.
