I’m new to RemNote and am trying to use it for language learning. My idea for that: I set up a hierarchy of rems with the leafs being the vocabulary I want to learn, e.g.
- Textbook (folder)
- Chapter 1 (doc)
- word a::translation a
- word b::translation b
- Chapter 2 (doc)
- word x::translation x
- word y::translation y
- Chapter 1 (doc)
My understanding then was that I can go to the Queue and learn all the flashcard rems (a,b,x,y). As long as I don’t actively choose a cluster or page I will be presented with all flashcards.
And if I want to focus on a subset, then I can for example select only Chapter 2 and be presented with flashcards of x and y.
What now happens, though, is that I’m asked to select a cluster when I click on Queue. But I don’t want to. To me that’s the whole point of not choosing a doc or folder for practice. Example:
I clicked Queue and have to choose? Why?
Ok, then I choose. I want to select a root doc.
But then I have to select yet another cluster? Why? By selecting the doc I want to signal that I want to learn all the flashcards contained in it or its children.
What am I missing here?
