Creating rem reference from a cloze omitts first letter

How to reproduce:

  1. Create a rem containing a sentence.
  2. Create clozes.
  3. Double click on cloze to select it. (this selects cloze correctly and opens popup menu)
  4. From popup menu click make reference.
  5. BUG: First character is then omitted.

This bug is something selection generic as every action from the floating / popup menu does not include the first letter. More screens:
