Daily Documents appear under a particular subject folder

I created my first Daily Document yesterday. For some reason it appears under my folder called Ancient Roman Architecture (ARA). When I tried to create a new DD for today, that new DD also appeared under the same folder. Why is this happening and how can I fix it? I tried to move yesterday’s DD away from the ARA folder but it wanted me to place it under a different parent. Not sure what the right location is or how to get new ones to be top-level Rem. Thanks

Can you provide a screenshot?

Do you have a rem like below?

Is there a Power-Rem icon in the name of Ancient Roman Architecture (ARA) ?

@TaQuangKhoi Not sure. There is an arrow for the ARA folder – and it has two power-ups: Document and Automatically Sort. I have never tried to create an Automatically Sort power-up. In fact, when I realized it was there, I’ve deleted that power-up but when I create a DD it appears under ARA and the Document and Auto Sort are both next to the ARA folder. Let me see if I can do a screen shot…Thank you for helping me. I truly appreciate it.

@TaQuangKhoi

Here is the screen shot. FYI, if I don’t respond to your help this afternoon or in the next few days, it’s because we are out of power due to Hurricane Ida. I will respond if at all possible though. Thanks again.

@TaQuangKhoi Here’s a better screenshot that shows the power-ups.

If there is a different screenshot that would be helpful, please just let me know.

You should create a new Rem called Ancient Roman Architecture. Then move all rems except Daily Document Rem(:date: August 29th ,2021). Move The Roman Forum to new Ancient Roman Architecture.
Change the name of old Ancient Roman Architecture to Daily Document

Thank you. I will try. Fingers crossed. :slight_smile:

I think I did it! Thank you so much.

Do you understand what went wrong in the first place? I thought that Daily Documents folder would have automatically been created the first time I clicked on Today’s Document. I guess it doesn’t really matter, but I like to know what I did wrong so I don’t keep repeating mistakes.

Thanks again. I’m so happy to have things properly organized now.

I think it’s because you mistakenly pressed on the keyboard and started working on the Daily Document.
No need to worry about it too much. Because when you use RemNote a lot, you will get used to it and won’t make mistakes anymore.

I still don’t get what keystrokes I accidentally pressed, but I hope you are right that I am moving down the learning curve the more I use it.

I’m trying to grasp how everything functions, but I’m also hoping that as time goes by the developers make it harder to make mistakes --even in the beginning. I know lots of people who would benefit from RemNote who might not be willing to risk (what might be for them) a steep learning curve right now.

Thank you again for spending time to help me.
