If I edit a flashcard, does it disrupt the spaced repetition schedule?

I review a card, then I edit the text of the card to show what day and time I studied it.
Does any kind of edit to a card wreck the spaced repetition schedule?
My questions is a result of many cards appearing in my daily study que FAR sooner than they are supposed to.
No.
The schedule is linked to the rem id which is fixed when you created the rem. (This also implies that you can reset the repetition history by deleting and recreating the rem.)
You can always display the practice history by using the /data slash command or just pressing / in the queue.
This is probably the result in some recent bugs that for example repeated cards daily. See Queue goes crazy and other posts in the forum.
