I see lots of shortcuts for changing the type of card, but what if I just want to change it back to a normal rem? In other words, how do I make it to no longer be an index card?

You can use Ctrl + / and select Remove Concept / Descriptor Framework.
Are you referring to Lists and Multi Line Cards when you type index cards?
With List Card >> I use Ctrl + Alt + L for turn on/off (List Items)
With Multi Line Card >> I use Ctrl + Alt + R for turn on/off (Card Items)

I believe that you are asking how to change a flashcard rem back into a non-flashcard rem. I’ve come across this instance myself occasionally and the only thing I’ve figured out so far is to either delete the rem entirely or select the flashcard option to not show it anymore. Hopefully there’s a better solution that someone else has to offer instead.
