The back button should work here, or the hotkey assigned to it: Ctrl (or Cmd) + [.

Doesn’t work for me. Have to use mouse to exit via sidebar.

Someone from Remnote team has to pay attention to these UX improvement requests. Not every user is going to complain about these things just because they can live with these inconveniences
