How to export Remnote → LaTeX or Word?

Is there a better way than copy and paste?
How do you usually achieve this?

Such feature would be great for making remnote a writing-for-delivery tool in addition to a PKM

As a workaround, you can export to Markdown and then use either Pandoc directly or use a Markdown editor such as Typora to convert (which is usually also via Pandoc somehow).

Is it possible to import large number of word files (50+) in a similar way?
My google docs have always been stuck because nobody imports them with important highlights i have made in my documents and the highlights are usually lost

OK, that might work indeed:) Still a bit tedious, but it’s better than nothing, thanks!

I’ll give it a try

Hi again  , I’ve tried it, but for some reason:

  • the “download zip” button in the export menu result in an empty zip folder. Could you check if it’s the same for you?
  • I’m surprised to see there not more conservation of the formatting with this method than with a copy and paste. For example, the headings levels are not kept when transferring to the Word document. Am I doing something wrong here?
  • There seem to be a confusion in the transformation as: italic words are converted to bold when exporting in Markdown, then converted to DOCX via Pandoc. Again, I feel I’m doing something wrong.

(My tests are made from the copying and pasting of Markdown from the preview in the export menu)

Thank you if you take the time to reply to this
cheers

Sorry _yb I haven’t tried to batch export from RemNote to Word. I’ve only done this for individual documents to LaTeX.
Unfortunately, it’s usually the case that trying to move stuff between formats requires some playing around with it to get what you want. I guess take a look at the Markdown export in a Markdown editor first and check that at least that’s what you want before trying to export it to Word.

Sorry I can’t be of more help. :slightly_frowning_face:

yes, a pdf export would be great too
