How to move a Rem Document to the root (top level)?

Probably a very basic question. But I’m rusty with RemNote.

I know that if I go to the sidebar and select “New Document”, a new Rem Document is created in the root of my KB.

But what if I already have a Rem Document within some other Rem, and I want to move it to the root of my KB (ie., make it top level)? How do I do that?

Ctl + Shift + M would be the quickest way that comes to mind. Instead of moving it though choose the no parent option to turn it into a top level rem (which I believe is what you are after)

Alternatively you could access through the // command & type move if you prefer this menu selection

If you want to go further you could open a portal drag it in then delete the portal though I find the 1st 2 options quicker & simpler :man_shrugging:
