Hello, I think this is a normal behaviour.
This is to differentiate 2 arrows signs
1/ a simple arrow for flash-cards (space repetition stuff)
2/ a double arrows for all other arrows that are not for space repition
->
is understood by remnote a category 2.
is you type >>
you will get the arrow you want, BUT you will create card at the same time
see here RemNote Tutorial - Basic Flashcards - YouTube
Hi,
I am not sure because you have ways to draw → without it being interpreted as the flashcards arrow.
If you copy-paste an arrow from the web it is not interpreted as a flashcard arrow.
Also, you can type “-” + " " + “>” and then remove the space to obtain a normal arrow.
I may be wrong, but I think that both methods (copying and pasting or removing space between characters) are essentialy a workaround – or should I say bug-exploit – to have the character single arrow on your screen without it being interpreted as a flashcard.
I really wouldn’t be surprised if those 2 behaviours are fixed in a future update, and output a double arrow.
I think you should think of the double arrow “the normal arrow” for now.
But I might very well be wrong, I’m no dev

It annoys me no end to have lost the arrow characters. It was a really bad UI decision.
