Is it possible to change a document to a folder or vice versa?

Folders are documents that have documents as children. So you could turn a folder into a document by removing the document tag from its children.

I have create an empty folder directly, and it doesn’t have any children documents in it. Then I didn’t find a way to turn it into a normal documents

That’s a bug then. Try moving it somewhere, then untagging and retagging as a document.
