It would be nice if we could draw a diagram with the mermaid and ask the things here.
I don’t think this will be possible for the same reason clozes are not possible in LaTeX (Problems with latex, Turn latex into reference): The code is handled by a third-party library.
As a workaround we can use image occlusion on the rendered diagram.
