Remnote currently doesn’t recognise and import inline math from Obsidian markdown files (wrapped with $...$).
As such you’re left with raw $...$ text and have to manually edit in the Remnote-specific $$... in order to get inline math.
This is almost a bug. One could argue that Latex is enclosed with single $ in RemNote as well, but is triggered/created with double $$, just like it works with quotes. But the parser for pasted/imported text does not treat it correctly.
