Option to not sync folding state in Multi pane/window

Obviously it’s important for content to update across the board in real time, but when working in multiple panes (and in the same document) the parent/child hierarchy states update simultaneously as well. This requires you to constantly scroll up and down on the unedited pane to find what you were previously looking at.

Is it possible for all the content to sync except for hierarchy layout?

Maybe this could be solved with Make folding be different from hiding. E.g. let folding be a temporary ste which only affects the current pane until it is closed.
