I think it would be very good if remnote could implement a feature that would allow to set all flashcards to forward or backwards only.
Is this what you are looking for, or is it something else?
To Toggle this, you click inside a card and go to the first icon (Card) on the Toolbar, then select the desired orientation, or use the Keyboard Shortcuts.
If need be, you can use `CTRL + A` to select the Rems you want.
Ctrl + A selects different aspects depending on the number of presses and cursor position.
Inside a Rem:
- press 1 time: selects the rem your cursor is in (same as double clicking inside of it does).
- press 2 times: adds the nested rems of that rem (and their nested ones - doesn’t differentiate beyond the first nest, so it counts everything in that…block) to the first selection, if there are any nested Rems.
- press 3 times: selects all rems in the document.
Alternatively, press Ctrl + A
inside the title to select the whole document.
By default, Cards act like this:
- Concepts: forwards and backwards. You can be asked for the name of a term/theory, based on it’s explanation. You can also be given the term and then asked to provide its definition/explanation. So practicing both sides of the cards should help you anticipate this.
- Descriptors: forward only. No matter how the question is phrased, you are required to know the answer.
- Questions: forward only. Same reasoning as for descriptors. Descriptors usually involve keywords you’d expect in a question (e.g. colour), questions may be phrased in a more roundabout way, or they can be practice questions, and so on.
Take my reasoning with a teaspoon of salt.
You can modify this behaviour using the Toggles I mentioned above.
