Like the scenario mentioned in the post, I want to view descendants of a filtered rem.
It seems that we cannot achieve this so far.
When the children don’t contain the search word, it won’t be displayed. I would suggest to do the following:
- CTRL + F and type in the search word, confirm with enter to jump into the search results.
- Press CTRL + A A (type in two types A to select all).
- Press CTRL + SHIFT + ↓ to reveal all descendants.
(Sorry, I am realizing now that you posted it in feature request. Perhaps my suggestion will help anyway for now.)
Ah, I never recognized that the filter can persist like that. Nice!
It still does not solve the problem completely though: Ctrl + A A also selects the hidden parents and revealing all children shows all content for each parent. In this case the full Daily Document of all days containing Contribution
, probably every single day if a daily template was used.
There should be a command to either not select the hidden (but displayed) parents or not revealing children of hidden (but displayed) nodes or being able to transform the filter/search results into a selection.
Thanks, but other rems show as well XD.

Oh, I tried it before and it worked without problems. So I was wondering what you mean. Then I tried to recreate your screenshot and somehow when you work with dates, the search results are displayed differently. The date is always additionally displayed and as a consequence, my suggestion opens everything else as well.
Perhaps you can find another solution? Here are some thoughts:
- For example open all, but then go to “Contribution” and press ALT + SHIFT + H to hide the siblings.
- Perhaps use the search portal to make the search results and view persistent, so you don’t need to search for it again all the time and set up the view only once (per day). Click on the plus sign in the search box.
- Your contribution is a reference? Then perhaps you can click on this reference and get another view or default search portal within this reference.
Thanks, but strangely today I lost most of my past daily documents.
Although it said I had 67 Tagged rem, I cannot show them in search portal.
But somehow I can search past daily document using ctrl+p
I guess they are hidden (check by focusing the Daily Documents title and Ctrl + Down or use the search descendants slash command?) or worst case you can recover them in www.remnote.io/trash
Recently my search portals also don’t show all information when I create them. However, when I press on sync/refresh (the two arrows on the top right of the search portal), everything gets shown. You try that out?
