Sub-flashcards - how to display answer to parent card?

I usually structure my cards as follows:

  • Q => A (1st flashcard)
    • question about A => answer (2nd flashcard)

Example:

  • Most common cause→SM
    • 50% of patients will develop SM ##extracarddetail
      • that’s why →all patients should have MRI

I want to see A (answer to flashcard 1) when I see flashcard 2. In the example I need to see that SM is the cause to better understand second flashcard. How do do it?

Instead of a forward question type of card, use a cloze card. Just delete the arrow, then select the answer & press { once.
The normal shortcut for cloze cards is {{ when you don’t have text selected

I still miss the answer to first question

Sorry for the late reply. You should turn the SM card into a cloze one & the answer should show while viewing the 2nd card.
