Suddenly can't create aliases via [[~/Aliases]]

Hello, all you RemNote geniuses. I’m having a bit of trouble here and am hoping someone can help me out.

I recently made a custom citation style for Zotero that lets me easily copy and paste reference meta-data into RemNote. Also included in this citation style are a few lines to automatically create Aliases.

Here’s a very simplified version of what ends up in my clipboard, which I then paste directly into RemNote:

[[References/Authors/Last Name, First Name]], ([[References/Year/2018]]),
**Title.** [[References/Journals/Journal Name]], Volume (Issue).
    [[~/Aliases]]
        @Last Name et al. Year
        @Last Name et al. (Year)
    doi: DOI
        [https://doi.org/DOI](https://doi.org/DOI)
    **Abstract:**
        Abstract.

When I created this in my office the other day, I managed to get everything working perfectly. When I tried it tonight on my computer back home, however, the [[~/Aliases]] portion was suddenly no longer working. Specifically, rather than creating aliases via the Power-Up, it is now creating a new “~” Stub with an “Aliases” stub nested underneath.

Even cutting Zotero out of the picture completely and just copy/pasting “[[~/Aliases]]” into RemNote by itself causes the same problem now.

Any idea why the heck this is suddenly happening when everything was working perfectly just the other day? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :pray:t2:

Just to follow up on this, I did some more testing and confirmed that this does still work properly on my iMac despite not working on my Mac Mini.

iMac (works): Intel-based running macOS Catalina
Mac Mini (does not work): M1 running Big Sur

Why in the world would copy/pasting the same markdown work on one computer but not on the other? It’s so strange!

I’m sorry to say that is typical from remnote… :tired_face:
