On Mac the latest version of the desktop application does not show 'Quit" under the file menu. The only way to quit Remote is to do a force quit
Same here. It is quite annoying having to quit the desktop version by right-clicking the Dock icon (you don’t have to force quit). Hope this will get fixed soon.
Yes, the Apple OS convention is CMD-Q.
It is the same on my end. It is also quite unstable in comparison to the web app version.
Just a reminder that this is still an open issue, at least in my experience. When will we be able to quit the desktop application in the standard way via the menu bar and CMD+Q?
Hiya, I would suggest submitting a bug report on the official Github issue tracker. This category is mostly for bug discussions among users. For the meantime, I’ve submitted a report on behalf of everyone on this thread. Will update on here once it’s been fixed.
Here’s an update:
Hey, this functionality has been brought back. There is still no ‘File’ menu, but it should be under the ‘RemNote’ menu itself (see screenshot).
Now, there are two ways to quit the app on MacOS:
- Hover over ‘RemNote’ in the menu bar > Click ‘Quit RemNote’.
- Cmd + Q 2× (one time to close the app window, another time to actually quit the app).
