With Anki I have addons that provide both visual and audio feedback for different responses (again / hard / good / easy) that I find really helpful. I usually use the keyboard or a gamepad for studying my queue, so I don’t get the benefit of the color change in the icons with the mouseover. It would be nice to get some visual feedback after each selection for how I answered a card to make sure I pushed the key I meant to push, like the icon for the selection becoming highlighted for a second before moving on to the next card, similar to how the icon changes with the mouseover. It would also be great if there was some visual feedback after selecting disable flashcard, edit later, etc. again, just to get some reassurance that I pressed the right key.
ahah I thought I was the only one using a gamepad to answer the queue! What do you use to remap gamepad keys? ReWASD?
I love using my gamepad to study flashcards! I use JoyToKey to remap gamepad keys.
Me too!!! What gamepad are you using? I’m using the Xbox one BT for windows. It’s pretty cool, I remapped the colored keys to the answering keys and it makes sense to tap green for good red for based yellow for mehh hehe
I use my Nintendo Switch Pro controller (wireless). It’s just what I already had on hand
