What is the newline under REMs for, and why it is sporadic?

I notice that sometimes ( not always) when I press enter once on regular rems I get a new line underneath without a new bullet point appearing , like it does with WorkFlowy. In WorkFlowy, this is to add source. As in remnote, source has a specific placeholder, what is this newline underneath a REM to be used for in remnote? (I notice that this behaviour doesn’t happen when its a REM with code block )

Sounds like a bug. Enter should always add a new block, shift+enter should add a new line in the same block.

For clarity, this is happening with iOS 14, iPad using onscreen keyboard and scribble
