Why are there two 'duplicate' links, one blue, one black?

Hi guys,

I’m new here and a bit of a newb so Hi and please excuse my possibly amatuer question.

When I click [[ and search for the doc/rem I want to link to, I see two links to what appears to be the same thing. One blue, one note. What the difference please

Thank you

This probably means that you have created a new rem instead of linking to it in some moment. This happens to me and apparently to some other users (if you hit ctrl+enter when trying to make a reference, it creates a new rem, but it also happens if you have your mouse there for some reason). The solution is twofold:

For already duplicated rems, go to the new one (most likely the one you have without parents) and merge it with the old one ( ctrl+alt+shift+E and select the old one).

In the future, try to make sure you don’t create new rems instead of referencing existing ones, by paying attention to where your mouse is, basically.

Let me know if this works

@Dante_Gaxiola is this the same reason I get this for some rems?

I can’t find the other duplicate rem

Honestly I’m not sure. It may be, but that merge button seems to be very buggy yet. You can try to find the other rem with Ctrl+P, but if it doesn’t appear, it may be referencing a deleted rem, or something like that. I don’t pay attention to that orange button, to be honest, it only made mad. Hahahaha.

Just to build on this. in the example below the item I can link to called ‘CSM Hub’ appears several times. I think one is a tag, but the others?!
