Workflow and Structuring Guide (for EE and CS)

I am a university student who is learning electric engineering and computer science, and recently discovered smart notes. Through this I found out RemNote and I believe that this application will help me through my degree. However, I can’t seem to find a streamlined process for me to take notes.

Here are some of my problems:

  • I have two folders that have similar content but there are some differences. I would like to share it with the two folders.

  • I love the bidirectional linking or referencing but I don’t know when to use it

If someone would like to share their workspace on how they structure it, please do. I am more of a visual learner and live through example

Use portals or, better yet, create your own structure that will have the best of both.

Assuming you intend to pursue the “smart notes”, i.e., Zettelkasten, approach, the van Doorn article and Matuschak’s second video from the awesome list should help you out (though they are not CS-specific).
