Desktop App: Copy URL and ability to open RemNote document URLs

URLs of the new Windowed Panes can be used to save and restore workspaces (Windowed Panes In Depth). This does not work in the Desktop App yet:

  • You can not get the URL of a view it would have in the web app.
  • Opening such an URL will open it in the browser instead.

I would like to

  • have a command/menu entry to copy the current URL to clipboard and
  • open http://remnote.io/d[ocument] URLs directly in the Desktop App.

This would be a simple implementation of Pin Multiple Panes to Make Workspace.

Yes, would love love the ability to be able to save the workspaces in the desktop app vs just the web app

Should be noted in the desktop app that if you do not close your panes down before closing the app you will have them pinned. That is to say when you open again you will have the same layout with the same rems, docs, etc

Not quite the same as the request of course but it is something

Have my vote

  • open http://remnote.io/d[ocument] URLs directly in the Desktop App.

I think the links should also be using a custom scheme

open `x-remnote:://remnote.io/d[ocument]` URLs directly in the Desktop App.

these work across apps and wouldn’t break on other devices
if done correctly you could swap out the x-remnote for https and load via the web interface.
(maybe the latter can be done automatically by adding functionality to the browser clipper extension?)

You may have heard of deep linking in Apps basically x-remnote is registered to the remnote app and a request is made to load the app with the referenced content.

When I sort my todos, I need to open the same sets of panes again and again. So a local app url is really helpful.

Please add desktop url. I need to open a set of panes in different time in a day on desktop version (PC&Mac)
It can help me save a lot of time and energy.
