HELP : Unable to log back into remnote

I had earlier logged out of remote and now I’m unable to log back in. I had used google to signin. Now when I click on " sign in with google", it brings to cursor to the username box with a red colour warning called “.required”. When I signed up, I directly used google sign-in. I don’t recall providing a separate username password.
When I click the sign with Google button again, it brings up a 404 not found page. I then tried providing my email as username and it gave the same 404 page.

Why is remnote not letting me sign in with google sign-in?

Regards,
Brindha

Try F12 - Application - Clear storage - Clear site data. Assuming you were synced before you logged out, of course.

I use iPad iOS14 with onscreen keyboard. I don’t have F12 key. :flushed:

Then just open browser console from More tools - developer tools, assuming you are on Chrome.

I use safari in iPad. I do have chrome and I checked. I can’t see a developer tools option. See image.

.

No idea then, sorry. Try googling how to clean site data on Safari on iPad I guess?..

No worries. Thanks for the suggestions.
To add to this thread :
I followed the instruction from this site to clear browser cache data in my iPad safari. Restarted the - browser.
But I still cannot log into remnote.

On mobile you should be able to clear all cached data etc. in system settings of the app. At least on Android. You lose all data of other websites as well though.

I followed the instruction from this site to clear browser cache data in my iPad safari. Restarted the browser.
But I still cannot log into remnote.

Can you please try refreshing with “Ctrl + Shift + R” on the 404 page and let me know if you see any change? We’ll also look into reproducing this issue.

Alas, it still doesn’t work. (I used an external keyboard for the key combo suggested . )

I’m having the same problem on my Edge browser Win 10. Can’t login since yesterday. Please release the offline desktop app.

Updating my browser to latest version solved the problem. You can also try it @Brindha

@Dhruba My hardware is iPad iOS14, and I am using the latest version of Safari and Chrome available. There is a OS update to 14.1 recently being pushed through. Shall see if this OS update helps.

No joy on this front even after updating to iOS14.1 and clearing website data.

Hi @Brindha! I encountered that same problem on my iPad Pro using Safari, Chrome, and Ecosia. There aren’t options in Safari for clearing app data, so I switched to Google Chrome. Clearing browser data there didn’t work, so I switched again to Ecosia browser, where, after clearing the app data, I was able to login through my Google account

Update: Logging in through Google works in Safari’s private browser too!

I think it’s an iOS problem, since I had no issues logging in through my Google account through my phone (Samsung Galaxy) or through my laptop (Macbook Pro).

I hope this helps!

Yay. This worked. Had earlier tried clearing data in Safari, Chrome, Edge and DuckDuck, but to no avail. Since your comment, installed Ecosia and tried. Didn’t work at first. Cleared data within Ecosia and tried again. Lo and behold, my notes started rolling in. How lovely. Went back to Chrome and did same. Notes appeared there too. Safari still refuses to budge. But hey, I’m now a Ecosia user.

After a few perfidious days of fruitlessly exploring alternatives, I’m look forward to Remnote-ing again. Ta.
